Briarwood Day Camp is for boys and girls aged 3-15. Kids are separated by grade and by sex into what we call bunks. Bunks are divided into divisions: Busy Bee (grades 3YO – K), Lower Camp (grades 1-3), Upper Camp (grades 4-7) and CITs and Super CITs (grades 8-10).
Our camp day has eight periods per day. Our campers rotate through age-appropriate activities (we have found, for example, that it’s inappropriate to send Pre-Ks to archery or to send 7th graders to the playground). Additionally, every week, our campers entering 1st grade and older get to choose an elective (we call them “clubs”) which they will get to do each day that week on top of their “regular” schedule.
All campers through 7th grade will have instructional swim in the morning and free swim in the afternoon. Our 8th-10th graders have free swim only.
We serve a healthy lunch each day as well as a snack at the end of the day.
